Balkan Gaming Federation Established to Strengthen Regional Industry Cooperation

Dragan Skrbić, president of AGOS, discussed the formation of the Balkan Gaming Federation during an exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News. The new organisation aims to coordinate regional efforts against illegal gambling and consolidate the Balkans as a recognised gaming market.

Regional Cooperation and Market Position

The Balkan Gaming Federation was created to unify operators across the region under a single cooperative framework. Skrbić noted that the sector has accumulated sufficient scale to function as a distinct industrial zone. The federation will standardise regulatory approaches and facilitate cross-border partnerships among licensed providers.

Addressing Unlicensed Operations

Combating unlicensed gambling remains a central priority for the newly formed body. The federation plans to implement coordinated monitoring systems and share compliance data between member countries. These measures are intended to reduce market fragmentation and improve consumer protection standards across the Balkans.
